Am I Girl Enough for Turning Point USA?
My introduction to Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter last weekend was colored by multiple shades of pink. Pink neon lined the escalator banisters, and fuchsia lettering on the banners announced the conference “Curated for H.E.R”—that is, Holistic, Empowered, Redeemed. Pale pink flowers dotted the many prairie dresses sported by the young participants. The “GIRLS only” restroom sign highlighted the latter word in cerise. A magenta spotlight fell on the stage in the darkened ballroom, giving a rosy glow to the speakers—a passel of Christian influencers, MAHA mommies, former Trump staffers, and current female politicians.
