Emma Balter and Jack Sullivan Join Texas Monthly
Texas Monthly is excited to announce two new members of the editorial team: Emma Balter, who comes to us from Houstonia, and Jack Sullivan, who previously worked at Air Mail.Originally from France, Balter got her start in journalism at Wine Spectator, where she edited travel stories, wine reviews, and restaurant news. Eager to escape the New York cold and drawn to Texas’s promise of great opportunity and quality of life, she moved to Houston in 2020. She worked at the Houston Chronicle as a features reporter covering food, travel, and culture and then as the editor of the food section at Chron.com.
