Evah Destruction Scores Top Dragula: Titans Title

DATE POSTED:January 9, 2026

Dragula: Titans’ second season wasn’t local drag artist Evah Destruction’s first bite at the underworld-grown apple. A familiar face to anyone who appreciates alt-drag on Fourth Street – and honestly, who doesn’t – Evah got fifth place on the third season of original underground drag competition The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula and took fourth in the debut run of Titans, the spin-off series where competitors from previous Dragula seasons are resurrected for more head-to-head horror. Third time was the charm for the Austin-based scream queen, as her bout on the Titans sophomore season ended with Evah earning the Queen of the Underworld title. In the moment, she said, securing the crown “felt like the biggest belly exhale of my LIFE!”

“I had been holding [onto] so much anticipation and stress since 2019 when I was on Season 3,” Evah recalled over email, “that now having this title just feels like I finally claimed what I’ve worked so hard for all these years.”

That hard work started even before the cameras rolled, with Evah resolving to enter the competition with total focus. Rather than dwell on “all the overthinking and all the notions that I couldn’t handle whatever they threw at me,” the performer said she “tackled a lot of my own insecurities and doubts along the way.”

“[What] really helped me through this journey was making sure to center and ground myself at the end of each day,” she explained, “and remind myself what was more important and what to focus on; and that was the next challenge, and the next one so on and so forth!”

Of all the challenges Titans tossed her way, Evah recalled her favorites being performance-based “because performing is where I feel like I really shine.” Whether she was coordinating a sandy serve in which to lip-sync “Nosferatu Beach Party” or creating a time-warping wardrobe inspired by Rocky Horror, “[each] floorshow let me embody a different character,” Evah said. “[Adding] a lip sync or live performance element to that instead of just selling yourself and your look on the runway really spices it up,” she added, “and made me want to prove myself to the judges every week.”

Responses to Evah’s win rolled in soon after she revealed the news this past December, with many shouting out her steadfast commitment. “[The] wave of love I received had a common message of FINALLY YOU WORKED SO HARD FOR THIS,” she said. “Just made it all that much more special to me feeling seen by my support system!” Although she does say that fellow competitor Jay Kay of NYC did drop a special request: “JayKay responded to my win and said ‘so can I borrow $20’? Love that guy, GREAT guy.”

Next steps for the Titans titleholder find her on tour, as a winning perk is playing headliner for the 2026 Dragula World Tour. But Evah’s got ambitions galore: “I want to travel, I want to do gigs, and get to work out there!” She’ll also be appearing monthly over at the Austin Eagle with Basüra and fellow Dragula alum Louisianna Purchase for second Sunday drag show Monsters Brunch. The first show drops this Sunday, Jan. 11, at 12pm, although Evah won’t feature this week as she’ll be performing in California.

“Thinking ahead I also want to do more theater productions again!” Evah added. “I’ve made big strides over at Bastrop Opera House and want to continue having fun with our community over there but I also want to see what other theatrical opportunities there could also be in the future! So we’ll just wait and see!”
