Raq baby Saturday 22, Brushy Street Commons

Some might’ve discovered Raq baby last year after hearing “Stick Up,” which features him rapping over an officially cleared sample of Childish Gambino’s “3005.” After performing during this year’s South by Southwest, the Chicago-born, Atlanta-based artist returns to town with July release Still Spillin in tow.

Fresh off new album VERA VOLPE, West Memphis rapper YTB Fatt headlines San Marcos promoters Only the Crew’s back-to-school fest. Support includes Austin’s most-streamed rapper, Quin NFN – now fully independent after completing his deal with EMPIRE – and Dallas rapper 10k.Caash.

Jazz guitarist Margaret Slovak spent two stints in New York City before relocating to Austin in 2012. She recorded For the Moment there in 1989, released it on CD in 2007, and now shares it on vinyl for the first time later this month. Slovak celebrates the record’s vinyl release with two shows; her free performance at Waterloo Records will have an album signing afterwards.
