A 1939 promotional brochure for Indian Lodge boasted of a hotel so picturesque that visiting amateur and professional photographers alike declared that it was “almost impossible to get pictures lacking in beauty and contrast.” The sentiment is even more true today, thanks to a two-and-a-half-year, $3.5 million renovation unveiled to the public on June 1.
