Qmmunity: Cool Lizard Alert

Do y’all like lizards? I’m a little obsessed with the scuttling populace in the area around Chicon and Tillotson by Figure 8 Coffee. There’s three species who occupy the flora who can be identified by a helpful poster outside the coffee shop: the Texas spotted whiptail, Texas spiny lizards, and the green anole. Summer heat’s been warning me off outdoor fun, but I really have powered through the 90-degree-plus temps to see these cutesy crawlies. This is outside the queer-specific purview, but I think there’s enough reptile-enjoying hims, hers, and theirs among the Qmmunity readership for this to be relevant.

Your local alternative Pride, Queerbomb, is looking to raise funds and showcase LGBTQ+ art with a pop-up gallery at the Loading Dock running July 19-23. Otter Fest Friday 10 – Sunday 12, Hippie Hollow
