Texas Democrats are all the rage right now. James Talarico, the Austin-area state House member who’s become the face of the lower chamber’s quorum break, has become a raging interview animal; his colleagues may need to stage an intervention, lest he call in to Pod Save America in his sleep. Dallas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett seemingly goes viral every time she opens her mouth. Beto O’Rourke, who is mostly unemployed these days, is touring the country and drawing massive crowds everywhere from Fort Worth to Indianapolis. Given that, it should come as no surprise that the members of the party that makes up a minority in the Texas Senate would also want a little of that shine.
